Sometimes I'll just bite down to the core, like an (not-pine)apple ;) I would be interested in seeing a corer, though.

The problem with pineapple farms from my friend has told me has to do with deforestation and the pay the workers get. This is in Costa Rica, she says her company tries to be responsible but it's difficult. I figure, any time a product is offered as fair trade (coffee, chocolate, quinoa, bananas, pineapple) I start to wonder about what's going on with the products that aren't fair trade.Jessicahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14917367078025519399noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2772682185631476879.post-16099853303446471152011-03-19T15:32:15.717-04:002011-03-19T15:32:15.717-04:00Tell more about the pineapple farms and what isn&#...Tell more about the pineapple farms and what isn't good! I really am impressed with your self control. I was so excited when I saw that our WF was selling the Justin's PB cups that I bought about 12 packs...and ate a pack a day...sometimes two a day. Like an addict, I went straight to that section next trip to WF and fortunately they were sold out.

Have you ever used a pineapple core-er (sp?)? I use my Mom's, and it works great.Jennyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11320336368732794711noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2772682185631476879.post-62996940744410246932011-03-16T18:04:00.096-04:002011-03-16T18:04:00.096-04:00Okay, so the reason for the plentiful chocolate co...Okay, so the reason for the plentiful chocolate covering the peanut butter is that I used lots of chocolate. And I ran out, my last 4 mini-cups are all peanut butter.

FF, the pineapple experience is probably much more interesting in your imagination. Basically, I tried to select a good pineapple (yellow, not green along the bottom, firm with no soft spots, etc.). Then I risked life and limb using a large knife to cut it, and it simply wasn't that good. Plus -- did you know? -- Chiquita is headquartered in Cincinnati, where I live, and I hear about the pineapple farms and farmers from a friend who works there and sells the goods to businesses. It doesn't sound good. But canned, I can come to terms with. Quality guaranteed.Jessicahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14917367078025519399noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2772682185631476879.post-92225945536785112112011-03-15T19:33:31.224-04:002011-03-15T19:33:31.224-04:00What happened with the pineapple??
